Holy Family Parish has a scheduled period of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Monday through Friday, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Holy Trinity Church. This program has been followed continuously since August, 1996.
In the words of Pope John Paul II, "The Church and the world have a great need of Eucharistic adoration. Jesus waits for us in the sacrament of love. Let us be generous with our time in going to meet Him in adoration, and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease."
As you all know, there must always be someone present whenever there is exposition of the Eucharist. Fulfilling this obligation requires 20, one hour time slots to be scheduled. Everyone is encouraged to visit randomly but to meet the stated obligation, we must have at least one person scheduled for each hour. Our goal has always been to schedule two each hour.
Currently we only have 12 regularly scheduled participants to cover our 20 time slots. We have about 6 substitutes who fill temporary absences of our regular people. Please consider joining our regularly scheduled worshippers by committing to one of the open time slots or signing up for our substitute list. Please access by the ramp door - the other doors of the church are kept locked for security reasons.
We cannot promise our current Pope will visit our parish anytime soon, but we guarantee his "Boss" is here most every weekday afternoon.
Please call Peggy Schramm (423-3007) or Frank Long (422-8225) to follow up on this message.
